I started pole dancing
classes with my sister as a fun way to stay in shape and break away from the insanities of work.
The first few weeks were a blur of sore bums and bruises but we persevered and before I
knew it I was shimmying it up in front of family & friends for
performance night. Not only have I worked my booty harder than the
lazy thing has been worked before, but I've met so many great people.
I have now actually started to look forward to exercising (could it be
possible?) and I can actually lift things now! Heavy things!
Coming from a background in classical ballet I love that I have the opportunity to perform again. My favourite part about teaching is watching everyone come out of their shells and bring their own style to it.
Pole dancing is sexy, glamorous and a great confidence booster. Definitely would recommend it to anyone and everyone. PS My parents think I'm teaching salsa…

I first started pole
dancing at the start of 2008 with a close friend of mine for a bit of fun and something for us
girls to do together. I loved it so much I kept going with it and made it a part of my fitness routine.
I have a back ground in dance and have done ballet and jazz most of my life. I have always had a passion for dance and find that pole dancing gives me that feeling of expression and happiness that I used to have when i was dancing.
I have gone through the different levels of pole dancing and really find it exhilarating and exciting when i learn more moves and tricks especially when I perform my moves or routines i feel so proud from what i have accomplished.
I now teach pole dancing and I love to share all that I have learnt and give back that great feeling of love and passion that I have for pole dancing to my students. It's a great way to have fun, feel sexy and keep fit. But more importantly having fun!

I started Pole Fitness way back (seems like) in March while I was in the middle of separating from the father of my two young sons. I turned up to my first class with very little self confidence but also with a smile and a determination to have some fun.
I'd always been involved in some sort of sport, always changing and trying new things. I've competed in martial arts tournaments, played indoor netball, rollerblading, advanced pilates, swimming and most recently, have been going to the gym for the last two years. I have experience in managing and administration, having managed a coffee shop in Brisbane and a pub/restuarant/B&B in England.
Since starting Pole Fitness I've rebuilt my core strength, had tons of fun, met lots of great people, my confidence is growing all the time and I'm even starting to feel a little bit graceful. I'm totally addicted!
